little baby shower #1

Last weekend I had my baby shower with the "Little" side of the family. My sisters-in-law and Donna did a fabulous job coordinating all the food and decorations!! It had a fun nautical theme to it and the crepe station was delicious. Baby little was showered with lots of love and given beautiful gifts.

the shiny parts of my week..

Maybe it's just something that happens as you grow up..but you realize that life is really about the little things isn't it? Those simple moments during your week that make you happy... 

Like eating the first watermelon of the season, a clean bedroom, a new plant on your kitchen window sill, and celebrating your Mom! I tried my hand at fresh spring rolls..I'm excited to try new combo's in the future..

girls weekend in St. Paul, MN

I had a blast visiting Hillary in St. Paul, MN this past week. Calvin was away on a fishing trip with the men in her family, so it was perfect timing to have a girls weekend. We did what you should on such a weekend..lots of shopping (she lives 2 blocks from Anthropologie..), eating out, watching hulu, and taking walks. It was perfect!

back to blogging.

Well, I think I'm ready to start blogging again. I miss it..I miss being able to look back over the months and remember.. 

So I will once again begin to take photos with my real camera and not my iPhone. I may only post 1-2x/week and keep it simple, with mostly highlights from the week or major events. However I realize, now that I'm having a baby, and my family & friends are spread around the country, that this blog is such an easy way to share life with them! 

This (now quickly) growing bump is mostly the reason I have taken a blogging break haha.. So here are a few instagrams to kick it off.. 

Our house has been under construction since January (can't wait for it to be over!) and we are going to end up with a beautiful addition full of windows facing the lake.

We are all missing my brother Evan working in Hollywood and hoping that he moves back to the east coast sooner rather than later.

I had a birthday and turned 26, complete with a lovely breakfast in bed made by my sweet husband.

2011 recap

No I'm not dead...

After my month long blogging break I am back with an announcement (which most of my readers know haha)..I AM 3 MONTHS PREGNANT!! So due to extreme morning sickness and fatigue, I needed a little break...Andrew and I will be expecting a baby around July 19th. 

So looking back over this year was extra sentimental for me, as it was our last year as a couple without children. I am so grateful for all of the traveling we did over this year, the parties we threw for our friends, and for all the special moments just the two of us..

God has blessed us so abundantly..definitely more than we deserve. 2011 rocked, but 2012 will be even more special as we become 3..

January: Our yoga vacation to mexico.

February: My 7th Valentine's day with Andrew. He made sushi for dinner!

March: Kept trucking along with my etsy shop and learned how to use my new Canon!

April: 25th birthday. Roses, a picnic at the lake, and dinner with my family.

May: We moved into the lake house and thus began the summer of the BBQ. 

June: Mom and I took a trip to Bermuda!

July: Threw a 4th of July party for our church family.

August: Went camping in Newport, RI and ate way too much seafood.

September: Our best friends got married! First Hillary + Calvin. 

Then Taylor + Allison.

October: Trip to San Diego for NYWC, and a little vacation.

November: Maze-illa with our amazing youth group.

December: Our last Christmas without kids!
