a merry 'little 'christmas.

Evan is home for break, which means I get to play with all of his fancy lenses.. I have been enjoying making my little apartment festive for Christmas, and I really love my tree this year. We cut down a Concolor fir this year, and the long needles give the tree such a whimsical rustic look. I'm also getting a head start on wrapping as well, which never happens! 

We have Andrew's work Christmas party tonight with all of the church pastoral and office staff so I'm off! I hope your weekend is filled with fun holiday activities and time with friends!

Oh baby, it's cold!!! I think it's a real sign of age when you begin to get personally offended by the cold weather...

 My friends and I all agree that when we get dressed each morning, we simply want to be warm and comfortable with a lot of soft layers and thick socks. Shooting for the shop is a little rough now..I run inside, change outfits, shoot, and run inside again to warm up! Other than working, finishing up my Christmas shopping, and hiding inside watching a lot of holiday movies, I don't have much new to report.

This white rabbit fur (sorry Abby, if you're reading this! love you Jackson..) is so glamorous and cozy, if I lived in the city I would be rocking this coat instead of selling it in the shop. Alas, living in a small town in the country, you key it down in order to not be stared at in the post office or grocery store haha! Alright, I'm off to clean my apartment and watch "Christmas in Connecticut".

It's been awhile since I have posted an outfit, so here is one I particularly liked when I was styling and shooting today for the shop. I'm a sucker for feminine pieces like this soft, sparkly holiday sweater. 

I just listed this sweet sweater in the shop and I think it's the perfect mixture of cozy, but sweet & fancy with that bow across the shoulder.

Any fun plans for the weekend? I think I will have Andrew take me out for sushi tonight, although I know he really wants to see Harry Potter..so maybe we can compromise and do both at some point this weekend! My husband's handsome face did happen to grace the etsy fashion email today in the list of suggested shops! So that was exciting..

I also have some serious gift wrapping to do in the next few days, and this year I really want to try to make my packages look nice, instead of slapped together with scotch tape!

holy, holy, holy.

Here is a shot of my window sill with these sweet little vintage trees that I picked up at a church rummage sale a few months ago. I had tucked them away and it was fun to re-discover them. Today I would like to lift up prayers for my dear friend Casey who has come out of surgery after having a meningioma tumor removed from her brain. Today they learned that the tumor was not benign and she will be undergoing radiation after she heals from the surgery in a few weeks. 


This is my favorite Christmas song this year and I would like to dedicate it to my friend Casey today. She has had the most amazing positive attitude throughout all of this, showing such courage and strength. May she have peace that God is in control of all situations and we are praying for complete healing for her..
