When Andrew asked what I wanted to do for Valentine's Day I told him that I wanted him to cook me dinner at home and keep it simple, since we had just taken our trip. Well, since Andrew likes to spoil me when I ask for the opposite, he took it to an extreme and cooked me breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
"I quite like" waking up to flowers and chocolate on the pillow next to you while my husband makes me whole wheat pancakes with berries...
Chicken pesto paninis with roasted red peppers & spring mix for lunch...
And this one really blew me away...
It was his first attempt at making sushi but I had a feeling he would be good at it because he is the opposite of me: patient, and actually enjoys doing tedious tasks. He made so much variety!
California Roll
Tuna and Avocado
Spicy Tuna
Chipotle Tuna (fail)
Coconut shrimp with mango Roll*
(*amazing)
Mom bought us some beautiful Champagne flutes for a Valentine's Day gift, knowing we were dining at home. It was absolutely delicious and I ate so much sushi I thought I would die. He even bought chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. I was so impressed with him and I will now be asking for homemade sushi on a monthly basis. He really out did himself this year and I am happy to say that 7 years later I'm still completely in love with this guy..
I love my Andrew more every year, and I couldn't be happier..he's the sweetest husband and my best friend.
Happy Valentine's Day, I hope yours was as special as mine!!
