we'll paint the town red.

These saturated photos are from the other night at the Deer Head Inn in Deleware Water Gap. It's a historic building the holds a jazz club, inn & restaurant. Good music and good food! We like to go on Wednesday nights for trivia and the BEST tuna melts in town...

s'more please

Living in a small town with little to no night life, it is always nice when the warm weather hits & it is campfire season once again! We have already enjoyed quite a few fires in the back yard this spring. Plus, there is really nothing like a good s'more, is there?

i want to go to there..

Planning my fantasy trip to this cave hotel in Cappadocia, Turkey. It has 30 private cave rooms dating to the 5th and 6th centuries. It looks so uniquely luxurious!

upcycled silk & floral

Due to my love for all things floral this spring, I have been inspired to experiment with vintage floral fabric on my upcycled clutches. Each bag is a unique, one-of-a-kind creation, with different clutches and various fabrics. They are made from vintage silk blouses, old scarves, and other pieces I may have from altering vintage pieces. Shop for them here!

the old sea captain

I added this print to my "etsy favorites" list a few months ago, thinking that it would be a perfect gift for Andrew, and then forgot about it. Today it appeared on the front page treasury. Maybe i will bite the bullet and just buy it to surprise him!

silhouettes when our bodies finally go...

I am once again dreaming of travelling back to Europe...
I found these pictures of Andrew & I from our trip to switzerland a few years ago. The little village of Gimmelwald up in the Swiss Alps was unbelievably enchanting, and i would die to be there right now! It was truly breathtaking..i hope i make it back someday, but if i never do, i'm so happy to have these photos..

phillies game!

Last weekend we celebrated our Josh's birthday. Abby bought us all tickets to the Phillie's game! It was my first pro baseball game ever! The rain held out for us and I have to say..the tailgating was my favorite part! Especially when your friend Abby makes you black bean, avocado & corn salsa, and grilled eggplant sandwiches! Forget hot dogs! Oh and did I mention strawberry shortcake for dessert?

Our fire got a bit out of control...
Andrew was in heaven because he got to see a grand slam. It was a great game(so they say) and the Phillie's killed the Mets. I enjoyed watching the game, but mostly the psychotic Phillie's fans.

spring wish list. anthropologie.

Here is my Spring wish list from Anthropologie. How does that store continue to dazzle me year after year?

Part II: adamstown, pa

Part II of the bachelorette festivites was a day trip to Adamstown, PA. We spent the majority of the day at Shupp's Grove, an outdoor antique & flea market. It was FABULOUS and I wanted to buy everything...However, taking pictures of things I love seems to help squelch the impulse to just purchase it...

Each weekend there is a different theme for the sellers. This weekend the theme was "vintage kitchen" and all of the kitchy housewares were sweet. I spent far too much money on seafoam colored pyrex, kitchen canisters, and...confession..miniature things for a dollhouse for my future daughter. Guys, I just don't know what I will do if I only have boys..I already collect little vintage dresses for her! Andrew thinks it's creepy that I do this.

Part I: bachelorette bruncheon

Over the weekend we threw my dear bride-to-be friend Meredith a bachelorette extravaganza. We kicked it off with a little brunch at my favorite coffee spot in the world, the Gryphon cafe

The Gryphon is located in Wayne, PA so if you are ever in the neighborhood (7 minute drive from King of Prussia), I insist that you go there for sandwiches and lattes!
Originally Mere's younger sister Jenna was not going to be able to come for the festivities, but when things changed, we kept it a secret from Meredith and it was worth it to see her surprise!
Brunch Menu:
Quiches
Mini croissant sandwiches
Mandarin orange spinach salad
Cranberry White Chocolate scones
Deviled Eggs
Craisin Pecan Choc. Chip bars
Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Banana Bread

After eating Meredith opened some gorgeous lingerie from her bridesmaids and girlfriends before we moved on to Part II of the day!
